The Bleach: Brave Souls players who want to min-max their party and builds will want to understand the character stats as early as possible. One of the most important stats in Bleach: Brave Souls that is a bit confusing to understand at first is Focus. Fortunately, it is quite simple once you have the hang of it.
How Does Focus Work in Bleach: Brave Souls?
At its core, Focus (abbreviated in the game as “FCS”) is the stat that determines the critical hit chance for a particular character. The higher your Focus, the higher the chances are of every single normal attack, skill, and so on to land a critical blow. As you might expect, this critical hits are much more powerful than a regular one.
For every 10 points of Focus your character has, they will gain a 1% boost to their critical hit chance. It is possible to raise even higher than this, though. For instance, if you build up a combo of 100 attacks in a row, your critical hit chance will be doubled. So, let’s say you have 100 points in Focus for a 10% critical hit chance. With a 100-hit combo or higher, that will now become a 20% crit chance.
What Happens If Crit Rate Goes Above 100%?
The situation with Focus does get a bit more complicated the deeper you get into Bleach: Brave Souls. Some players might be wondering if it is possible to get your critical hit rate to 100% guaranteed. Technically, yes, this is possible, especially with higher combos. If you have a 50% crit chance and get a 100-hit combo or more, you now have guaranteed critical hits for the duration of that combo.
If this is the situation, though, what happens with your Focus stat if your critical hit chance is already 100% and you keep raising it? Well, raising your Focus beyond this point will now affect critical hit damage. The more points you put past this point will make your critical hits become even more powerful when they land.
