Square Enix revealed more information about the early access launch for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion, including details about when registration codes will be sent out. The early access period begins on June 28, 2024, for players who pre-ordered the expansion, and the registration codes will begin to go out on June 24, 2024.
Square stated it plans to distribute the codes sequentially, rather than all at once, and they must be entered in the Pre-order Bonus Codes section of the Mog station website. Once the expansion launches properly on July 2, 2024, players must also register their expansion key in order to keep access to the new content when early access ends on July 5, 2024. Only PC and Mac players will be required to register any codes however, as Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X players are registered automatically.
Earlier in June 2024, Square Enix detailed its plan to avoid the massive server congestion that plagued the launches of previous expansions. The company also recently set a date for the resumption of the Housing Demolition timer, which was paused in response to the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024.
The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail early access period begins on June 28, 2024, early access codes will go out on June 24, 2024, and the expansion proper will launch on July 2, 2024. The game itself is available on PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
