At Anime Expo 2024, we finally learned more about the upcoming Uzumaki anime adaptation again, with the latest reveal involving English and Japanese voice actors for a handful of characters. That brings the total of known performers up to eight, if we consider we already knew Junji Ito makes a cameo appearance.

Here is the official Uzumaki anime voice actors announcement that appeared on social media. It included art of Kirie, Shuichi, and Azami from the show.
Prior to this reveal, we did get to hear the Japanese voice actors briefly for both Kirie and Shuichi. They appeared in a “first look” trailer for the show that appeared at the 2023 San Diego Comic Con.
While we did get to know about the actors, we still didn’t get a release date for the Production IG show. It has been delayed multiple times since the original alleged 2020 launch window. Most recently, a Japan Times interview with Junji Ito in June 2024 suggested the show would appear on Cartoon Network in 2024.
The Uzumaki anime will apparently air during Cartoon Network’s Toonami block in 2024, and Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.
